From The City:
As general reference, the venue is only a few minutes walk away from the Parliament.
Metro: line 2, stop: ‘Kossuth tér’
Tram: 4, 6, stop: ‘Jászai Mari tér’
BKK public transport website and planner: https://bkk.hu/en/
Tip: getting your ticket at the bus/tram driver is not a common thing in Budapest, it is much easier to buy your ticket in advance. There are vending machines and also an app: https://bkk.hu/en/tickets-and-passes/budapestgo/
Accommodation:
There are plenty of opportunities near the venue for everybody’s taste and price level. From previous courses we know that participants liked the nearby NH Budapest City Hotel (4 stars) and also airbnb-s and other options through booking.com.
Parking:
Parking around the venue in the street can be tricky and expensive during weekdays. Please also note that in some areas only 3 hours is permitted.
At the weekend parking is generally free in Budapest.
Lunch:Â
There are several cafés right next to the venue. For coffee lovers Madal Café is also worth a visit a few blocks away.
For lunch, depending on your taste:
Szeráj Török Étterem - simple, canteen-style Turkish food nearby, wide selection.
Also TĂĽrkiz, a restaurant more on the fancy style (booking might be necessary), amazing food.
Also, if you fancy a bit longer (10-15 min) walk, Október 6. street is full of bars, cafés and restaurants.
In that area a lot of people liked these two restaurants - also recommended for dinner:
Tom George Osteria - Great Italian food

Trattoria Pomo D’Oro - Great Italian food
And also: Borkonyha - Winekitchen - High-end Hungarian dishes and local wines, fine dining.
